Step 1 First put two of the tripods together before placing it into the bin. Then take the two tripods already assembled and put them into the bin through the bottom of the hopper. Take the third tripod and assemble it in the bin, to the two tripods already assembled.  Step 2 Centre the tripods in the bin and bolt to the hopper with the bolts given. When tripods are centre, be sure the unit is sitting level.  Remove the two bolts from the tripod of where you want the transition hole to be cut. Then take the centre point of the distance between the two bolt holes and ensure that you use minimal space from the edge of the tripod as illustrated, otherwise there will be too much air force against the wall of the ducting and not enough air forced into the tripods to distribute throughout the other ducting.*  Step 4 Put the duct over the ends of the tripod making sure the perforations are facing down toward the bottom of the hopper (this ensures self-cleaning of the ducts). If there is a problem with the duct fitting properly, cut the tip of the duct as shown in the illustration, making sure the duct overlaps the tripod no less than 1 1/2 to 2 inches. Take the two bolts to fasten the ducting and the flange together onto the tripod. Space the self-drilling, self-tapping screws approximately every 8 inches apart, or as where needed.  *SAFETY TIP: If preferred, take a small grinder to remove the screws protruding outward from the side of the bin, for safety. Step 5 The hopper hat is to be installed at the top of the duct and is to have a sure seal along the flange where it is fastened to the hopper with the self-tapping screws. It is normal if it has a little opening where the duct and hat meet as long as it overlaps the duct about 2-3 inches.  |
